event rules

1all non-romantic relationships are allowed! whether it be friendships, qprs, families, enemies or mentiors, as long as it's not romantic you're welcome to create something around it for this event!
2sfw submissions only, and no problematic/dark content. when posting on ao3, all works should be rated general or teen, and the only archive warnings permitted are graphic violence and major character death. the mod for this event is a minor, and as such no dead dove, nsfw, non-con or incest is allowed. violence/gore is permitted.
3background romantic relationships are allowed! as long as they are not the focus of the piece, romantic relationships are permitted to be featured.
4late submissions will be accepted! for how long they are accepted will be determined by the interest check, but it will be from one to two weeks. however, early works will NOT be accepted.
5the use of ai is strictly prohibited. works created using generative ai such as chat gpt are not permitted.
6anyone can participate! no matter the skill level or your age, if you find inspiration in any of these prompts you are more than welcome to join in the fun!! to do so, simply create a work inspired by one of the prompts centering around a gen ship of your choice!

  • entries will be reposted by the event accounts

posting to social media (twitter, others)

  • due to only having event accounts on tumblr and bluesky, works posted to other social media won't be reposted. feel free to tag them with #bsdgenweek2026 regardless!!


posting to ao3

  • post your works to the ao3 collection, which will open during the posting period


timezones and late submissions

  • the event will run in bst (meaning posts about the event beginning/ending, and form closing times will be in bst) but you are welcome to follow your own timezone when posting

  • late submissions will be accepted for one to two weeks, depending on the results of the interest check
